I must have really been into that song, I need to smile more next time... Interacting with the audience, something I'm guilty of doing too much of during performances sometimes. Walking into Daufuskie's oldest church while on the island tour.
Most of us who took the island tour had never met each other before but we all took a picture together anyway! A lot of people pictured are Gullah/Geeche descendants who came to Daufuskie for the first time to meet other distant relatives and hear about Me, Robin Townsend and recording artist/performer Trei. After this event Trei completed a contract to perform in Taiwan for six weeks. Just sort of soaking it all in.

Description: This event celebrates the culture of Gullah/Geeche nation (descendants of African slaves indigenous to regions in and surrounding the country of Angola). Participating in this event for the last two years has given me an annual opportunity to remove myself from city life for a few days and hear stories about the good old days. Definitely one of my favorites.
Location: Daufuskie Island, SC
