The Okie 2 trolley, obviously not as vintage as it looks but still gets you in the mid-western mood. The Roxy in downtown Muskogee isn't as raucous as the one on Sunset in Hollywood, it reminded me more of the Apollo theater in Harlem. Great venue for the Barebones Film Festival. Just jammin,' nothing official, kind of an impromptu music performance for the guests. Film maker Cheston Contaoi is capturing it all, he is always collecting stock footage for his projects!
I have an audience of three and even THEY aren't paying attention to me! This is Max's garage, where I learned to throw peanuts on the floor without hesitation. Entering the main event with actress Janet Niezgoda (can I still say actress or is it officially chauvinistic now?
About to enter tha Roxy for the main event. Oscar and Shiron (on the ends) are the founders of this event and are the ones who hired me to perform. Peter Zhmutski (to my right) is an actor and film maker who entered in the festival. Performing "Imagine" by John Lennon to a pretty good size audience!

Description: As a featured performer for this event, I made my first trip to Oklahoma! Things I learned: 1. Locals don't like to be called "Okies." 2. You can eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor in bars and restaurants. 3. "Darla" is a much more common name there than it is in Los Angeles. 4. The terrain is super flat. 5. They have better bar fights than in Los Angeles.
Location: Muskogee Film Festival
